ABOUT US

OUR

STORY

Everyone has a story. Church is the place where your story meets God’s story.

Imagine Church was born from a simple conviction: we can become the church we have always believed was possible. We’re not perfect, but we anchor ourselves in Scripture and follow the One who is. We desire to help people discover God’s purpose for their lives and walk that journey together in authentic community.

Imagine Church launched on Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2025, with 75 people gathered in faith and expectation. It was a powerful beginning.

Our vision is intentional. We are praying and working toward reaching 120 people — and when we do, we’ll begin the conversation about planting another church. We believe the new big is multiple small. Growth matters to us, but never at the expense of spiritual depth. We are committed to building a church that is both expanding and maturing.

Above all, our passion is simple: to glorify God by making disciples of all nations.

We would love for you to join us in the mission.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

These are the core beliefs of Imagine Church. The Bible is our basis for all our doctrinal beliefs. We teach the word verse by verse through books of the Bible to reinforce these beliefs.

Scripture

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and are inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority. We believe that the Bible is relevant for today and our desire is for more than just knowledge of the Word, but life in the Word that comes when we receive it into our hearts. We value the study, meditation, and personal application of God’s Word.

(Isaiah 40:8; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21)

God

We believe in one God eternally existing in one essence, yet co-equal persons, the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe that all things were created by Him and for Him.

(Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, that he was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born to the virgin Mary.

(Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8).

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, and seals believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. He empowers the Church to live as His witnesses and in the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.

(John 14-16; John 16:8; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Epheisans 5:18; Colossians 3:16)

Worship

We believe worship is the only right response to who God is, and all God has done. The very purpose of our existence is to worship God. We value times of corporate worship and the cultivating of a lifestyle of worship in our daily lives.

(Psalm 122:1; Isaiah 6:1-8; John 4:23; Acts 2:47; Acts 17:26-27; Romans 12:1-2)

Redemption

We believe in God’s redemptive work in the world. The transforming power of His love is what motivates us to reach out to a hurting, lost world, and compels us to serve one another.

(John 3:16; Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 5:13-15; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

Humanity

We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in His own image. He created them sinless, equal in value, dignity, and worth. We believe that as a result of the Fall, all people are sinners by nature and in need of a Savior, and that Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior of the world.

(Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:14; Genesis 3, John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8)

Death of Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood as the propitiation for sins.

(John 19:30; 1 John 2:2; 2 Cor. 5:21)

The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven, and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for His church.

(Matthew 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-10; Acts 1:3; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 8:1; Hebrews 4:14-16)

Salvation

We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and heirs of eternal life.

(Mark 1:15; John 1:11-12; John 3:1-16; Romans 8:14)

Christ’s Return

We believe in the blessed hope, which is the personal, visible, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the consummation of God’s redemptive plan.

(Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:11-15)

Final Judgement

We believe that in rejecting the forgiveness of sins and the salvation which is in Jesus Christ – by grace alone, through faith alone – the unrepentant will die in their sins and by God’s holy judgment will be condemned to hell.

(Genesis 3:1; John 10:10; Matthew 4:1-11; Revelation 20:7-10)

Satan

We believe in the existence of a personal devil, who is working in the world to tempt, kill, steal, and destroy, yet his power is limited by God to only what God permits him to do. We believe that the devil has been positionally defeated through Jesus’ work on the cross, and will be defeated practically at Christ’s second coming, at which time he will cast into the Lake of Fire.

(Matthew 16:18; 2 Timothy 4:2; Mark 16:15; Acts 1, Acts 6:1-7; Acts 11:30; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9)

The Church

We believe in the Church, whose mission is to preach the gospel (Scriptures) to all the world, in all of its endeavors being guided by shared leadership and supported by the wise stewardship of God’s people.

We believe that the ordinances of the Church given by the Lord are Communion and Baptism.

(Luke 3:21-22; Matthew 26:26-29; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Corinthians 11:17-34)
