MINISTRIES

Life Groups

Life Groups meet in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Small groups are the heartbeat of Imagine. We call them Life Groups because these are where we experience the gospel life together. We know if we can get people in a small group community around food and the Bible, they will grow spiritually.

These groups are based on a season schedule: Fall, Winter, Spring. This allows a breather from the rhythm of life yet also allows seasons of spiritual growth to happen in what happens.

We use what are called sermon-based small groups. These groups are hubs of Bible discussion driven by questions related to the Sunday morning message. We go verse by verse through books of the Bible on Sundays so we will go verse by verse in these small groups. These groups mostly meet off campus in homes, or in a coffee shop or any place that is suitable to make disciples.

Men’s Ministry

EVERY SATURDAY AT 8:00 AM (AT THE BUILDING)

As go the men, so goes the church. We value discipling men. Each Saturday our men study the Word. We accelerate the opportunity for men to gather. Men need a huddle each week to be in a circle to learn the word of God. We disciple men to be able to reproduce what they receive into other people. We know men who are in the word are better husbands, fathers, and servants in the communities they live in.

Women’s Ministry

September 13 – October 18

Women’s Ministry is the unique heart of disciple making. We are starting a 6 week Bible study called, RESET. This study’s theme will address the devotional life. Prayer, Bible study, and how each of use does it differently will help us all grow.

Imagine Kids

Children’s Ministry

We love kids and want them to become disciples of Jesus Christ. We create space for children to build authentic relationships in a safe environment.

On Sunday mornings, kids remain in our worship gathering during the singing. This allows children to have some of the experience of worshipping with adults. Adults love having the kids in worship. Children are released  to go to the kids area after the singing. They are led by Jane Guyer and Meredith Corrigan.

We share the gospel with kids. We want to encourage kids to follow Jesus yet we are careful. We do not manipulate kids into easy decisions. We let the Lord do that work that only He can do.

What are some of the things that happen?

  • Kids receive a birthday card with a gift card. The most important holiday of the year for a kid is his or her birthday.

  • Kids memorize scripture. We are in a series doing through the gospel of John. Kids are memorizing scriptures from the book of John. This is often highlighted in our worship gatherings.

  • Kids are taught about a life of grace. Obedience is important, but it’s born from life giving faith. We don’t want kids to think church as a guilt experience based on rules. We want them to learn about grace, and let that create a desire to live in obedience.

  • Kids are encouraged to love God and love neighbor. A life influenced by the gospel is a life that reflects the gospel. We encourage kids to treat everyone as “created in the image of God.”

  • We model a life giving relationship with scripture. The Bible is the book we value most. We want kids to see our lives inspired by the word of God.

  • We disciple parents. The best thing we can do for children is to give them transformed parents.

New Believers

Request it

For anyone wanting to be discipled one on one or in a one on three group, make the request. Tell the pastor or a leader. We are committed to discipling new believers. This can be a newer, younger believer or a seasoned in life, yet was never a discipled kind of believer. We disciple in such a way that the discipled is able to disciple another. Our strategy is not a classroom strategy. It’s a relational approach.

Our strategy addresses four truths:

1. Confidence in your relationship with God.
2. Experiencing the love and forgiveness of God.
3. Living filled with the Spirit.
4. Walking in the Spirit

When done, a person will live more closely to God. The person will live by faith, empowered by God.

School of Ministry

Fall/Spring

The School of Ministry is a pre Bible college level opportunity for those desiring to become leaders. No, you do not have to desire to become a Bible College student. That’s why we have an opportunity locally to develop your spiritual skill set. The following topics are offered:

  • How to study the Bible inductively.
  • How to turn Bible study into a message for teaching and preaching.
  • How to share the gospel confidently and naturally by using your own life story.
  • Becoming a servant leader.
  • How to disciple a new believer.
